WINNIPEG, MB: Canadian rock group, Loverboy will perform at the MTS Centre, Saturday, November 28, 2015 as part of the 103 Grey Cup Festival Concert Series. Supporting acts consist on 54-40 and Queen City Kids. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 12 at 10:00 am through Ticketmaster. Ticket prices start at $39.50 (plus fees).

Loverboy, consisting of members Mike Reno (lead vocals), Paul Dean (guitar, vocals), Ken Sinnaeve (bass), Doug Johnson (keyboards), and Matt Frenette (drums) will be highlighting their ninth studio album Unfinished Business, released in 2014.

Loverboy’s self-titled first studio album, produced by Bruce Fairbairn, sold over 1,000,000 records in Canada, and over 2,000,000 in the United States. Since their initial success in 1980, the band has produced four multi-platinum albums and has set the record for most Juno Awards given to a single artist or band with six, in 1981. Loverboy’s most popular hit singles include “Working for the Weekend”, “Turn Me Loose” and “Heaven In Your Eyes”, which was recorded in 1986 for the movie Top Gun.

In 2009 Loverboy was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The following year the band performed at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Award Ceremony. The band is currently based out of Vancouver.

Special guests for the show include Canadian alternative rock group, 54-40. The band was founded in 1981 in British Columbia. In the mid 90’s the band produced three platinum albums featuring songs such as “Ocean pearl”, “She La” and “Lies to Me”.

Along with 54-40, Regina natives Queen City Kids will be opening for Loverboy. QCK hits include “Down Again”, “Dance”, and “Girls”.
